Striker John Duncan was on top form when this picture was taken in the 1972/73 season. In fact, JD was Dundee's top scorer with a whopping 40 goals. This mid-air volley was snapped at Dens against Celtic. The Dee played Celtic 7 times during this season, beating them twice at Dens as well as doing battle with them at Hampden 3 times.
We finished the season 5th, a position which got us into Europe the following season.
