DUNDEE FC PENNANT FROM THE 70'S

From around the mid 70's era is this original DFC pennant which I'm sure a few of you probably had on your wall at the time. A little tatty near the bottom but otherwise in top notch condition. This was made of a plastic/pvc type of material which has probably helped keep it in such good nick after 4 decades.

BOB SHANKLY WITH DEE PLAYERS

I find this a funny image. It's like the prince and the paupers, with Bob Shankly in his shirt & tie and Bobby Cox and co hanging around as if they are just back from a jumble sale! Not one of the players outfits match....and a couple of them are wearing sannies!!

DUNDEE 1981-82 HANDBOOK

Eric Sinclair on the cover of this Official Handbook from the 1981-82 season.
Although it is twice the price of the previous one, it has pretty much the same content - a word from DFC Director Ian Gellatly - match action photos - a message from manager Donald MacKay - player profiles on Bobby Geddes, Iain Ferguson, Albert Kidd & David Bell - a quiz - squad picture and info - item about coach Ken Wimshurst - club history and the new fixtures.

DUNDEE 1977-78 HANDBOOK

Quite a nice illustration of the DFC "braces" kit on the cover of this Official Handbook from the 77/78 season.
Content includes - a word from chairman Ian Gellatly - match action shots - a message from manager Tommy Gemmell - quiz - profiles on Bobby Hutchinson, Billy Pirie, Iain Phillip, Ian McDougall & Ian Redford - club history - squad photo - DFC Social Club news - famous game from the past and the latest fixture list.

He actually scored 2 in this game at Tannadice on 18th Nov 95 - Dee winning it 3-2 with Wieghorst getting the 3rd.

He actually looks quite cheery here. It must have been his move across the road that turned him soor...!!!
Anyway, his time as a DFC player was from 1965 to 68, where he notched up 120 games in total.
He was even Dundee's top scorer one year - the 1966/67 season.
It took him a few games to get going though - his dark blue debut in Sept 65, ironically against United, saw us get walloped 5-0!!
