DERRY RUMBA MERCHANDISE
This advert appeared in the Apr/May 1989 issue of Derry Rumba fanzine. The design for t-shirts & sweatshirts featured a bomber on the front and fist on the back.Don't know how Dee fans abroad felt about paying £50 for postage mind you..!!
I think they did miss the opportunity to sell Derry Rumbaba sponge cakes though!!

KEEP YER SHIRT ON - #2
Xara came up with the idea to have an alternative 3rd away strip and designed this effort, in green. Luckily, the concept wasn't approved and only prototype samples were ever made.
Ok for a goalie maybe. Some of the players ended up using the spares for training.

SPORTS BAG AD - 1970
This mail order ad for a sports bag is dated May 1970. These bags were very common in the late 60's and throughout the 70's. Kids began using them as school bags and just about every youngster had one in their team of choice, in club colours.21/6 in today's money works out at around £1.07p.
3/- is 15p.

DUFFY #3 - THE MERCHANDISE
This turned out to be more duff than Duffy merchandise! The idea behind it was a parody of TV's "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" using Duffy's name in it's place. It even had the DFC badge in blood! Anyway, it never reached the mass production stage and there were only 2 sample shirts made. Jim Duffy himself saw the humorous side of it and actually signed the one I have, but I've no idea what happened to the other one, maybe it ended up being used as a duster by the cleaner at Dens!Sunday, 21 September 2008
