Here's a cutting from a 1963 Sporting Post, featuring a young Arthur Montford discussing the top football story of the day, with guests - Davie Wilson & George McLean of Rangers and Dundee superstars, Alan Gilzean & Alec Hamilton. Thanks to NP.
There were 26,500 at Muirton to see Dundee win the title in April 1962 against St Johnstone, and probably 20,000 of them were Dees. Here's a section of these Dundee supporters making plenty noise, cheering the team to victory! Click image to enlarge. You might just spot someone you know! Photo by DC Thomson.

Here's a photo featuring a few of the unsung guys I recently featured, sitting alongside the first team players in 1970/71. Dundee finished 5th that season, one place behind Rangers, and as a consequence, were rewarded with a UEFA Cup spot. The team also took part in the Texaco Cup that year, and (hush hush) won the Forfarshire Cup!
